APC Progressive Institute to develop template for voters education – Spokesman
Mr Wale Abideen, Media and Strategic Communication Head, All Progressives Congress (APC) Think Tank and Resource Centre, The Progressive Institute (TPI)says the institute will develop a template for all season voters education.
He said this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, adding that the institute which would be formally unveiled by President Bola Tinubu on Friday, was part of APC’s efforts to empower Nigerian electorate.
He added that the institute was established as a strategic decision of the APC leadership to enhance its leadership recruitment process through quality training to strengthen intra-party democracy and governance.
He said it was also to enhance APC’s policy role, especially through independent research, adding that Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, the APC National Chairman would be the chief host of the event.
He further added that Gov. Hope Uzodimma of Imo and Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum would deliver an inaugural lecture on ‘The Progressive Philosophy and its Programmatic Implications on Governance’ at the event.
According to Abideen, the event is being organised as part of arrangements for the official take-off of the newly established institute.
He explained that the institute was registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) as a company limited by guarantee and had been duly certified by the Ministries of Justice and Education.(https://newsatlarge.ng)
