We are not opposed to genuine coalition, but hijack of ADC- Youth wing

By Our Correspondent

Dr Musa Matara of the African Democratic Congress (ADC)Youth Wing for Greater Nigeria, has said that the party is not opposed to any genuine coalition, but its hijack.

He said this at a news conference in Abuja, adding that any coalition must be done with transparency.

The ADC Youth Wing for Greater Nigeria, is compressed of the party’s state youth leaders, secretaries, women leaders, and grassroots members across the federation.

“Our collective stand is clear: some political elites are currently trooping into our party not out of genuine conviction.

“But with the intention to hijack the goodwill, mandate, and integrity that ADC has painstakingly built over the years.Let it be known across Nigeria and beyond that ADC is not for sale.

“We are not opposed to any genuine coalition or alliance. In fact, if such collaboration is truly rooted in national interest, integrity, and democratic values, we welcome it.

“However, any coalition must be formal, inclusive, and transparent,” he said.

Matara said such coalition must involve consultations with the entire party structure, including: state executives, secretaries, zonal and Local Government leaders.

“Youth wing at all levels, women leaders and women wing, and grassroots coordinators and community organisers,” he said.

Matara said that as of today, no official communication, written agreement, or inclusive dialogue had taken place regarding the so-called coalition.

He explained that ADC was not a party built overnight, but a party rooted in a unique political DNA “that upholds credibility, equity, inclusivity, and national service.

“This DNA binds every member regardless of age, gender, ability, tribe, religion, or region. ADC stands for one united Nigeria,” he said.

Matara said that the group welcomed only those who share their values and mission for national transformation.

“However, let it be known that ADC has a deeply entrenched structure from the national level down to the polling unit and it cannot be hijacked or rebranded by opportunism.

“We do not promote political promiscuity, hopping from party to party in search of power. ADC rejects money-driven politics. In our party, what matters is integrity, credibility, and a genuine passion for service.

“To all Nigerian youths, women, people with disabilities, and every patriotic citizen, know this: ADC is not just a political party; it is a mission-driven movement for national liberation, justice, and development.

“We are the last credible alternative on Nigeria’s political landscape and we are committed to building a new Nigeria,” Matara stressed.(https://newsatlarge.ng)
