Ganduje congratulates Idahosa for emerging as APC Edo Governorship candidate

Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman on Saturday in Abuja, congratulated Mr Dennis Idahosa for emerging as the party’s Edo governorship candidate at its just concluded primary election.

Ganduje in a statement, also commended Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo, and Chairman of the party’s Edo Governorship Primary Election and Appeal Committees for conducting a credible primary..

The statement was issued by Mr Edwin Olofo, Ganduje’s Chief Press Secretary.

Ganduje urged Idahosa to carry all aspirants along, saying this was critical to ensure the party’s victory at the forthcoming Edo governorship election slated for Sept. 22.

The APC national chairman commended the Uzodinma-led Edo Governorship Primary Election Committee for the transparency exhibited in the conduct of the exercise

He urged all aspirants to put aside their differences now that the primary election was over, and join hands with the winner to deliver the party at the election.

“I want to congratulate the winner of the Edo governorship primary election, I want to equally commend and appreciate Gov. Uzodinma’s election committee.

“For their hard work and the transparent manner in which the primary election was conducted.

“At this point, I want to call on all the aspirants to bury the hatchet and work for the interest of the party so that our party will emerge victorious,”he said.

Ganduje also commended all the party’s stakeholders and assured that the it would do everything possible to ensure that Edo was delivered.

Newsatlarge reports that the 43 years old Idahosa, is a member of the House of Representatives.

Uzodimma, also the Chairman of Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF) while announcing him as the winner of the primary election, said he polled 40,483 votes to defeat other aspirants and will now fly the APC’s flag in Edo.(https://newsatlarge.ng)
