MS. ANN IZI DELTA HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC) NDOKWA-EAST CONSTITUENCY ASPIRANT

Ms Ann Izi, an All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta House of Assembly aspirant, has pledged effective legislation and quality representation, if elected to represent Ndokwa-East Constituency in 2023.

Izi, who hails from Iyedeame, Ndokwa-East Local Government Area of Delta, made the promise in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.

She said her desire is to attract sustainable development, basic healthcare, educational facilities, potable water and electricity to the constituency  and other parts of the state.

Izi, who was popularly called, ”Adauzo of Ndokwa nation”, said she joined the race to ”emancipate the people of Ndokwa-East constituency from many years of deprivation.”

She said she had watched, with keen interest, the lack of quality of representation, the attendant marginalisation and deprivation of the people of the area in terms of dividends of democracy.

Izi said, ”the consequence of this is the glaring dearth of infrastructural development and low level of the standard of living of the people of the area.

“It is on this premise that I humbly offer myself to contest and represent the good people come 2023 general elections on the APC platform, because we need to heal the wounds of several decades of neglect and having our common wealth in the hands of only a privileged few.

“I am today entering into a social contract with the good people of the constituency to represent them with the fear of God and service to humanity,” she promised.

Izi said she would leverage on her wealth of experience from many years of educational, public private partnership and political background to deliver democracy dividends to her constituents.

She vowed to ensure quality legislation and dividends of democracy to the grassroots, adding, ”I will ensure regular consultations with stakeholders before major policy decisions are taken, if elected.”

The aspirant committed herself to building and transforming the constituency by, ”walking the talk with eventful activities, full of quality service to God and humanity, if elected.”

Izi further promised to ensure equitable distribution of the commonwealth of the people to cater for youths, women and the elderly.

She said: ”I will be driven by the values of equity, justice, accountability, responsibility, transparency, integrity, quality policy formulation and implementation, if elected.”

Izi thanked the party’s leaders, delegates and supporters for staying with her, adding, ”their prayers were not in vain, because God had showed me mercy and favour in the course of my campaigns.

“Your advice to us was not taken for granted as we adhered strictly to the guidelines and went round all the communities in the constituency,” she said.

She thanked those campaigning for her ahead of the party’s primaries, for the goodwill messages and endorsements received so far, assuring, ”your trust in me is not misplaced.” (http//newsatlarge.ng)
