APC U.S. youths felicitate Osoba @ 85

Mr Oyakhilome Bello, a member of All Progressives Congress (APC) Diaspora Directorate of Edo Governorship Campaign Council, has described Chief Olusegun Osoba as a paragon of excellence in politics and public governance.

Bello, who is also the National Youth Leader of the APC United States, said this in a statement on Monday in Abuja, while felicitating Osoba on the occasion of his 85th birthday.

He said the former governor of Ogun and elder statesman was a hero of democracy in Nigeria, a seasoned administrator, and accomplished political actor of great repute that should be emulated.

“Today is not just a day, but a very special one, which avails me and my team the great privilege to celebrate the birth anniversary of an icon.

“A renowned journalist, accomplished political actor, and paragon of excellence in public governance whose impact in nation building cannot be denied in the sand of time,” he said.

Bello said Osoba’s unwavering commitment and passion for nation building as seen in all his meritorious service to humanity and the nation at large would remain indelible.

According to him, the former Ogun governor has made impact in different facets of governance, politics and journalism.

“I salute his patriotism, dedication, and service to the nation with his impact on our democracy today.

“As we celebrate his birthday today, we not only express our deepest appreciation for his exceptional and immense contributions.

“To making our dear nation better, but also pray for many more years of good health, fulfillment, and continued sound health and mind,” Bello said.

He prayed God to grant Osoba joy, happiness, and renewed strength for continued impact for the betterment of the country.

Osoba who was born on July 15, 1939 served twice as governor of Ogun first from 1992 to 1993 during the Nigerian third Republic and from 1999 to 2003.(https://newsatlarge.ng)
