APC U.S Youth Leader says Edo’s development dependent on governorship choice
Mr Oyakhilome Bello, All Progressives Congress (APC) United States National Youth Leader has said that the development of Edo is dependent on the choice of governor its people elects in the coming election.
He said this in an interview with newsmen on Sunday in Abuja, adding that the state’s electorate could not afford to make a wrong leadership choice if it must grow.
“As Edo prepares for its gubernatorial election, the choice of leadership is crucial for its progress and development.
“Sen. Monday Okpebholo and Dennis Idahosa are the ideal candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor if the state most move forward in terms of infrastructural development and economy growth.
“With their experience, proven track records, comprehensive vision, and commitment to youth empowerment and unity, they are the ideal candidates to lead Edo to greater heights.
“Let us rally behind them in the forthcoming election and give them the opportunity to serve and transform Edo for the better of us all,” he said.
Bello expressed optimism that Okpebholo if elected as Edo’s next governor, would bring his wealth of experience, having served as a senator and demonstrated unwavering dedication to the people’s welfare.
This, he said, the APC Edo governorship candidate did through various developmental projects and legislative initiatives.
He added that Idahosa on the other hand, had a proven track record of effective leadership, advocating for policies promoting economic growth, infrastructural development, and social welfare.
Bello said their vision for Edo focuses on education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and job creation, with a commitment to inclusivity, transparency, and accountability.
“They prioritise youth empowerment through skills acquisition, vocational training, and entrepreneurship support, recognising the immense potential of the youth population.
“Okpebholo and Idahosa are dedicated to fostering unity and inclusivity, building bridges across ethnic, religious, and socio-economic divides to promote peace and progress.
“Their administration will be characterised by cooperation and collaboration, bringing together all stakeholders to achieve common goals,” the APC U.S National Youth Leader said.
He decried the current state of things in Edo in terms of infrastructural development, youth employment and its general economy, saying it was time the APC reclaim the state.
He, therefore called on political stakeholders in the state to rally round Okpebholo and his running mate to ensure their victory in the coming election slated for Sept. 21,2024.(https://newsatlarge.ng)
