Morka as APC Scribe, an indictment on Buhari’s anti corruption fight
Barr. Audu Suleiman has said that Mr Felix Morka who is vying for the position of National Publicity Secretary in the party’s ongoing national convention should be withdrawn from the race.
He said this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja, saying that Morka had corruption bagage and had been convicted in the United States of America.
He, therefore, added that having Morka as member of APC National Working Committee (NWC) would mean an indictment on it and the fight against corruption by the President Muhammad Buhari-led Federal Government.
“It is true that he is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) like other well meaning Nigerians who wants the betterment of the country.
“Just as Nigerians believe that APC is fighting corruption, the likes of Morka who have in three times gone to jail in the United States of America are not suppose to be voted for in any elections,” he said.
He added that Morka was not suppose to be part of APC’s executives.
This, Suleiman said was especially because Nigerians believe the party was fighting corruption and should not be associated with anyone that had been indicted.
He therefore asked that Morka be withdrawn from the race, least he drags the APC into court litigation.
“I am using this opportunity to inform the national ruling party to withdraw him from the race because he is presently facing a corruption case in one of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
“The Court has served him notice and we all believe that the court would soon entertain the case.
“So allowing him to be the mouth piece of the ruling party would amount to not fighting corruption,” he said.
