Group urges Nigerians to be hopeful, focused amidst nation’s challenges Group

Agency report
The BAT Vanguard, a Non Government Organisation on Thursday in Abuja, appealed to Nigerians to be hopeful, focused and committed to the country’s progress in spite of its current challenges.
Mr Sola Olofin, National Coordinator of the group made the appeal in a statement on Thursday in Abuja while reacting to recent media attacks on Seyi, son of President Bola Tinubu.
He said it was wrong for some social media commentators to attack Seyi over his appeal to Nigerians to be patient with the Federal Government in spite of the country’s challenges.
Olofin added that the president’s son did nothing wrong by calling on Nigerians to be for patience.
“Indeed, we commend him for positively engaging his fellow country men and women while assuring them that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
“Even as the son of the president of this country, the gentleman is still a bonafide and full fledged citizen of Nigeria and have a right to be concerned for the good of his fellow citizens.
“While encouraging them to be resilient and hopeful in the midst of a challenge that we will surely overcome.
“Seyi Tinubu has always displayed interest in the welfare of fellow Nigerians and regularly intervened to generously touch lives of numerous Nigerians across this country,” he said.
Olofin noted that Tinubu equally regularly familiarised himself with the needs, priorities and concerns of youths, and had always mobilised them for positive engagements in service to their fatherland.
He added that the group considered Tinubu as a patriot and a young man that everyone should be proud of.
“The problems we are presently facing, started piling up a long time ago, and unless we want to deceive ourselves in this country.
“It should be obvious and crystal clear to everyone that they cannot be solved overnight.
“We therefore call on our fellow Nigerians to be hopeful and to remain focused and committed to the progress of this country.
“President Bola Tinubu is strenuously working hard to ameliorate the condition of our citizens and lift them out of poverty,” he said.
He expressed optimism that with the resilient spirit Nigerains were known for, we would come out from the current economy and security challenges confronting the country even stronger.(
