According to him,42 young men and women representing 14 countries from the continent applied for the fellowship.marking the largest Latin American presence since the inception of the forum.
This, Ghazaly, also the founder of Global Solidarity Network said clearly indicated the increasing interest of the countries in participating in youth initiatives with a leadership and developmental focus.
“These initiatives enhance opportunities for international interaction and the exchange of experiences,” he said.
He explained that out of the 14 applicant countries, participants from 11 countries were selected after passing the evaluation stages.
He said this remarkable turnout underscored the growing international standing of the fellowship and reflected the confidence of Latin American youth in Egypt’s pivotal role in supporting and empowering young leaders from around the world.
Ghazaly said the development signaled the outstanding level of Latin American youth in terms of competence, ambition, and desire to engage in capacity-building programms and enhanced leadership roles.
He pointed out that this Latin American interaction represented a qualitative addition to the fellowship.
Ghazaly said it also strengthened Egypt’s position as a regional and global platform that attracted young talents and contributed to preparing them to be leaders of positive change in their societies.
He said the momentum further reflected the growing confidence in Egypt’s role in promoting youth diplomacy and deepening partnerships with other countries.
This, he said, was especially with regards to the Global South within its vision for sustainable development and international cooperation.
He noted that the participation of Latin Americans at the fellowship,
reflected a broad cultural and geographical diversity.
This, he said, would enrich its experience with a unique blend of perspectives and expertise and provide participants opportunities for constructive dialogue and exchange of ideas.
Ghazaly expressed optimism that the participation would strengthen bonds of cooperation among nations and solidify the concepts of solidarity and regional and international integration.
He said this was in line with the fellowship’s goals of preparing young leaders capable of making a real impact in their societies.
“This overwhelming interest from Latin America serves as clear evidence of the growing trust in the youth diplomacy championed by Egypt.
