Tinubu will fulfill his campaign promises in record time, say APC Chieftain

Mr Ibrahim Emokpaire, an All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain and Chairman Progressives Solidarity for Asiwaju (PSA) has assured that the President-elect Sen. Bola Tinubu will fulfill his campaign promises in record time.
He gave the assurance in a statement issued by Mr Ayodele Ariyo, his Director of Press and Publicity on Monday in Abuja, adding that Tinubu would deliver all his campaign promises including those he made in his manifesto.
Emokpaire who was a former chairmanship aspirant of the APC, advised the President-elect that the proposed fuel subsidy removal should be done on a reductive scale over a period of three to six months.
This, he said, was critical to ensure that it does not adversely affect the country’s economy and its citizens.
“It will be necessary to have the proposed removal of fuel subsidy on a step by step basis so the effect will not be too sudden.
“The current foreign exchange system should be something that the President-elect must collapse immediately to sustain economic growth for the country.
“It will have an immediate benefit to Nigerians rather than having two layers of exchange rate: the parallel and the black market rates,” he said.
According to Emokpaire, a one single exchange rate system will be highly benefiting to the country’s economy.
He assured Nigerians that Tinubu was a progressive to the core with the technical know-how, adding that he would assemble the right persons to work in his cabinet.
“He knows the rudiments of governance, so he will be able to take up from day one to hit the ground running, so that with him we will have a new dawn for a better Nigeria.
“Because lots of Nigerians are having high expectations, the President-elect will not disappoint us.
“I am very confident of that, following my working experience with him over the years in the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
“As our leader, one thing you can’t take away from Tinubu is the ability to see through some of the vision he has ear-marked for himself and the country,” Emokpaire said.
He said he had no doubt that Tinubu would make a remarkable mark in terms of achievements within his first 100 days in office by remaining focused without entertaining any distractions.
The APC chieftain said he was confident in the President-elect’s promise of forming a Government of National Competence.
“I have no doubt that he would ensure that round pegs are actually put in round holes, because he can assemble competent hands within the shortest possible time,” he said.
He expressed optimism that with Tinubu as president, we were in for an economic rebound and an engaging positive governance that would transcend beyond our anticipation.
“Tinubu will be building on what President Muhammadu Buhari has done, and will be able to set a milestone impact to run on the economy and all other areas that have been marked out in his manifesto,” he said.
