Jigawa Reps aspirant promises improved representation

Agency report

Alhaji Batta Hadejia, an All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for Hadejia/Kafin Hausa/Auyo House of Representatives seat in Jigawa, has assured of improved representation for the people.

Hadejia said this shortly after picking his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday.

“I am running because my people need to be properly represented and I feel I have the capability and capacity to represent them,” he said.

Hadejia, who lost out in the primaries in 2015 poll, promised to represent the people of the constituency adequately if elected.

According to him, the APC has the strength to win Jigawa in the coming elections because the state chapter is united.

He expressed optimism that he would emerge the party’s flag bearer for the 2023 poll, as well as emerge victorious at the end of the poll.

Hadejia said with his capacity and connections, he would be able to improve the well-being of the people of the constituency.

“I am not afraid of anybody; I just want a free and fair election because I know I am going to win.

“My constituency really needs farming implements as it has been left to its faith for a long time, if elected, I will give priority to education to grow the economy of the people,” he said.

He promised to ensure that youths in the constituency enroll in technical education to acquire skills, which would empower them to be self reliant.

“It is not all about the number of bills to sponsor, but making sure that you sponsor and support bills that will bring growth to Nigeria.

“Many lawmakers have sponsored many bills that have not been implemented,” he said.
