Group appeals to APC new leadership to unite members ahead of 2023

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Coalition for Mass Mobilisation (NATCOMM) 2023, has appealed to the party’s newly-elected National Working Committee (NWC) to unite members of the party ahead of 2023 general elections.
Mr Ali Otigba, National Coordinator of the coalition made the appeal at a news conference on Friday, in Abuja at the party’s national secretariat.
He said the conference was to declare the group’s unalloyed support for the Sen. Abdullahi Adamu-led APC NWC and intimate the public about its activities and programmes.
He said the conference was also to inform the public of the group’s preparations and activities and programmes for the 2023 general elections.
Otigba explained that NATCOMM 2023, was a support group within the APC charged with the responsibility to complement the party’s efforts at all levels across the country.
According to him, the group is to ensure that the party’s objectives are achieved and its programmes and activities are acceptable to a greater percentage of Nigerians in the build up to the 2023 General Elections.
“Our task towards the elections is to mobilise Nigerian voters, the masses and the general public to support APC and to ensure that the party wins the presidential election and majority of states come 2023.
“To this end, we hereby call on all our zonal coordinators in the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria to swing into action immediately.
“They should ensure they submit their formidable team of state coordinators in their respective zones to the national executives of NATCOMM within one week from now.
“We also wish to use this opportunity to call on all Nigerians, home and in the diaspora,  who shares in this vision with us and may want to join us, to kindly indicate their interest,” he said.

Otigba congratulated President Muhammad Buhari and APC leaders and governors for the party’s successful March 26, National Convention.
He added that through the convention, the APC had demonstrated excellence and ethical conduct.
He said the party had also through the convention, proved to the world that it had capacity to manage people of different interests as against the fears expressed by many Nigerians in the build up to the exercise.
He particularly congratulated the party’s newly-elected National Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu and other members of its NWC.
“May the Almighty God in His infinite mercies, help you to lead the party in the overall interest of the Nigerian masses.
“While we pray for good health condition and God’s guidance in the discharge of your duties, we wish to call on you the new party leaders, to please, do your best to unite the party.
“Give party members a sense of belonging, especially those who played roles in the course of building the party,” he said.
He added that such party members should be give more roles in its future activities.
Otigba advised the party’s new leadership against the old practice of entrusting its future in the hands of a few leaders.
