Chief Ayirimi Emami, a Niger Delta Development Advocate has charged security agencies to fish out those responsible for bursting of pipelines along the Olero-Dibi-Abiteye Fields/Flow stations in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta.

Emami, also an All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain gave the charge in a statement on Monday in Abuja while reacting to the development.

He said fishing out the vandals and making them face the consequences of their actions would serve as deterrent to others.

He condermed the development, noting that the damaged pipelines, transport various petroleum products, such as natural gas and crude oil to other parts of the country.

The Niger Delta Liberation Movement, had on Nov. 22, claimed responsibility for bursting the pipelines, measuring 6 inches, 8 inches, and 10 inches in diameter.

Emami recalled that the group carried out the operation at about 2:00 a.m on Friday Nov. 22, describing the damage as the launch of ‘Operation Chevron Dragnet.

Emami, while reacting to the incident, described it as unfortunate and unwarranted, maintaining that there was no justifiable reason to burst the pipelines.

He noted the Itsekiri people in the state, had civil ways of addressing their grievance with Chevron Nigeria Limited and other International Oil and Gas companies operating in the area.

According to him the President Bola Tinubu administration is doing everything possible to increase the daily crude oil production in the country.

He, therefore, called on all critical stakeholder in the Niger Delta region as well as other parts of the country to support Tinubu’s resolve.(https:newsatlarge.ng)
