ANCEDRAM calls for more gospel contents on social media

Evangelist Solomon Kure, The First Secretary of the All-Nigeria Conference of Evangelical Drama Ministers (ANCEDRAM) Abuja Chapter, has urged Christian drama ministers to take greater advantage of the media.
He specifically emphasised the use of social media platforms to create and share short dramas that carry godly content.
Kure gave the advice in an interview with newsmen in Abuja on Saturday, on the sidelines of ANCEDRAM three-day state conference and its 25th anniversary celebration, themed “For the Glory of His Name”.
ANCEDRAM serves as the umbrella body for gospel drama ministers and Christian movie producers across Nigeria.
Kure stressed the importance of Christian drama in promoting values that upheld the gospel and counter the growing wave of immorality in society.
He encouraged drama ministers in Nigeria to use their creative platforms to challenge and overshadow the influence of immoral content being circulated online.
“The internet is a powerful tool for spreading the gospel, just as Christ said that the whole world must hear about Him and have the opportunity to make a choice.
“Unfortunately, instead of using it to fulfil God’s purpose, we have allowed darkness and worldliness to dominate it.
“My advice is for drama ministers to take charge of social media and flood it with the gospel through short dramas and impactful content,” Kure said.
He further suggested that immoral trends online could be countered with biblical stories, delivered creatively through drama and story telling.
“Just as the world is using short dramas to promote immorality, we can use our dramas to uphold righteousness and godly values.
“We must use the light God has given us to overshadow the darkness in the world today,” he added.
On the issue of funding, which often posed a challenge for Christian drama ministers, Kure encouraged mutual support within the community.
He also called on well-to-do Christians to support gospel drama initiatives financially.
He advised content creators to explore monetisation through media platforms such as YouTube and Facebook, using godly content both as a means of evangelism and financial sustainability.
“People are making money promoting immoral content online. Christian drama ministers can do the same, creating and monetising content with godly messages.
“This way, we achieve two things: generating income for the ministry and reaching souls with the message of salvation”.
Similarly, Pastor Adedeji Adetiba, Chairman of ANCEDRAM Abuja Chapter, emphasised the call for more godly content in media spaces.
He stressed that gospel ministers, whether pastors, evangelists, or drama artists, must remain humble even after experiencing divine promotion.
Adetiba reminded gospel ministers that their primary calling was to spread the message of Christ, saying they must seize every opportunity, including digital platforms to do so.
“We are called to preach and act the word. We’ve observed that in society today, immoral and corrupt movies are capturing the attention of many, especially the youth.
“These days, people may forget sermons, but a well-delivered drama against immoral behaviour stays in their memory for a long time,” he said. (https://newsatllarge.ng)
