Sen. Abdulaziz Yari,Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) has said that the party is expecting 90 per cent votes from Ekiti State in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.
According to a statement issued by Yari’s Media Office, he said this on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti when the party moved its campaign train to the state.
He said Tinubu had done so well for the people of the state to deserve their votes for his re-election in 2027, adding that the APC was expecting over 800,000 votes from the state in the coming election.
This, he said, would encourage Tinubu to do more for the people of the state in his second term in office if re-elected.
The APC-PCC director-general added that because Tinubu was well accepted in the North, he already had the support of northern states.
“Because he had done so much for us in the north and had supported our children and people generally, we are ready for him in 2027 and we are going to deliver him from top to bottom.
“The labour of this great man and a true democrat cannot go in vain, we know what happened in 2022, but God, in his mercy made him a leader in this country,” he said.
According to him, opposition political parties and their candidates can not offer anything better than the Tinubu-led administration is currently offering.
Yari noted that under the Tinubu-led administration, the high price of food stuff was already reducing by over 50 per cent, while infrastructural development were ongoing in different parts of the country.
“Today, a 50kg bag of rice that use to cost #110,000 now goes for #60,000. As we promised Nigerians, we are going to campaign with our numbers.
“We are also going to campaign with our achievements in all sectors of the country’s economy and we expect Nigerians to give us a second chance.
“And by God’s grace, Nigerians are convinced. We are not AI product people. We are saying the truth and we are asking you 0to go and take that truth,” the APC-PCC director-general said.
He thanked the people of Ekiti for a warm reception and prayed to God to bless Nigeria and grant Tinubu the wisdom to lead the country to greater heights through his Renewed Hope Agenda.
