2023:ADC expells Kachikwu, its presidential candidate over anti-party activities

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expelled its 2023 presidential candidate, Mr Dumebi Kachikwu after finding him guilty of engaging in anti-party activities and gross misconduct.
Mr Ralphs Nwosu, the party’s National Chairman announced this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.
The ADC had earlier set up a seven-man disciplinary panel to look into the allegations of gross misconduct, anti-party activities and gross violations of the party’s Constitution amongst others leveled against Kachikwu.
According to the statement, the panel which sat for six days, submitted its report formally to the party’s leadership on Sept. 15
“The panel found Dumebi Kachikwu and others guilty of the allegation leveled against them and subsequently in accordance with article 15 of the party’s Constitution recommended that Kachikwu and others be expelled.
“The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) met on Sept.16 to deliberate on the report and accepted the report of the panel with modification,” Nwosu said.
He added that following the panel’s report, Kachikwu was therefore expelled along side others.
He listed those expelled along side Kachikwu to include:Mr Kennedy, Odion.Kingsley Oggah, Musa Hassan, Bello Isiyaka, Clement Ehiator, Kabiru Hussaini and Alaka William.
Nwosu added that with the development, the ADC had taken strategic steps to clean its stable and was determined to move into reckoning across the country.
He urged all the party’s candidates and members across the federation to focus on the 2023 general elections, while rededicating themselves to its ideals.
He commended the members of the panel for the courage and commitment shown in the quality of their work and called on the party’s members to remain focused and to continue to be good ambassadors of ADC(ADC)
