Association says collaboration critical to address cleanliness, hygiene issues

Prime Environment Cleaners Network Association says collaborative effort is critical to addressing issues of cleanliness, hygiene and outbreak of diseases across the nation
Mr Yakubu Yazeed, President of the association, who said this at a news conference on Friday in Abuja, stressed that the responsibility should not be left alone to government.
He added that the association was already talking with the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria, and had also concluded arrangements to collaborate with Mamuda Group, a leading detergent producing company to address the situation.
He said the collaboration was aimed at educating and enlightening Nigerians on cleanliness and hygiene, adding that the goal was to reach out to 10,000 households across the nation before the end of 2026.
“Today, we are proud to announce an official partnership between Mamuda Group, Nigeria’s leading manufacturer of household products, including: Popcola,Too clean, and Mama Joy and Yaz laundry and Cleaning Services.
“A company that has led cleaning service delivery in this sector for years.
“Together, we are combining products and professional service to transform how Nigerians experience cleanliness, hygiene, and opportunity,” Yazeed said.
He noted that a clean environment was the foundation for a healthy and happy society, adding that the partnership would allow the companies do more than selling products.
According to him, the partnership will allow the companies get their products into the hands of people who needed them, and to support professionals who are delivering cleaning services across the country.
Yazeed said the partnership would roll out four major initiatives which includes: spreading happiness through cleaning, academy support programme, project clean Abuja campaign and cleaner forum.
He added that they would identify and clean the homes of less privileged families in Abuja who could not afford professional cleaning services.
“Each family will also receive Mamuda cleaning products Popcola, Mama Joy, and Too clean to help them maintain a clean and healthy home.
“Mamuda will support students in our Cleaning Academy by providing products for training and will work with community stakeholders and leaders to clean up every community.
“This is part of our commitment to empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and the next generation of entrepreneurs in the cleaning and laundry sector of the cleaning industry.
“Every two months, our teams will hit the streets of Abuja in branded  jackets carrying both parties on it to conduct community cleaning exercises.
”This is our way of giving back and raising awareness about environmental hygiene,” Yazeed said.
He added that a reward system would be introduced to encourage community leaders to take up the responsibility of ensuring that their communities was safe and clean.
He further added that Mamuda Group would serve as a headline partner for the Cleaner Forum event on Aug. 20, in Abuja.
He said the event would use story telling to promote hygiene, dignity, and a cleaner Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, Naseem Abdulkareem, Manager Mamuda Group, said all efforts was to ensure a cleaner Nigeria and cleaning up the grassroots to make it safer for habitation.
This, he said, was critical to ensuring cleaner environment to forestall the outbreak of diseases, adding that his company would distribute anti bacterial detergents to less privileged homes for better health hygiene(NAN)
