Breaking: Tinubu’s minister resigns amid forgery allegation

MR GODFFREY UCHE NNAJI, MINSTER OF INNOVATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
President Bola Tinubu has accepted the resignation of Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, following allegations recently leveled against him.
Nnaji, who was appointed by Tinubu in August 2023 while tendering his resignation letter on Tuesday, expressed gratitude to the president for the opportunity to serve the nation.
In his letter, the former minister said his decision to step down was influenced by what he described as a campaign of blackmail orchestrated by political opponents.
He, however, expressed appreciation for the trust and confidence reposed in him by the president during his time in office.
Responding to his resignation, President Tinubu thanked Nnaji for his service to the country and wished him success in his future endeavours.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025(https://newsatlarge.ng)
